
Unity/Monodevelop Add-In: Paste Around Selection

Description/Use:

If you have a text containing the character sequence §§ in the clipboard, this Add-In lets you paste the text (split on §§) around any selected text. Keyboard shortcut: CMD+Shift+V (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+V (Win)
Example use:
Copy /*§§*/ into the clipboard. You can now select blocks of code and press CMD+Shift+V to wrap them in /* */


Installation:

1.) Close MonoDevelop.

2.) 
Mac:
Copy the DLL into the folder /Applications/Unity/MonoDevelop.app/Contents/MacOS/lib/monodevelop/AddIns (to get to the Contents folder, right-click on the Unity Application in Finder and select "Show package contents" from the context menu).
Win:
Copy the DLL into the folder [Unity install path]/Unity/MonoDevelop/AddIns

3.) Open MonoDevelop. The new function can be accessed from the edit menu, or via the shortcuts given in the Description section of this document.
